    Gov. Rick Perry honored the recipients of the 2014 Star of Texas Awards, presented to peace officers, firefighters and emergency medical first responders seriously injured or killed in the line of duty.

  • Breaking Ground in Midland


    Gov. Rick Perry helped break ground on Occidental Petroleum’s Midland Office Complex, which will be home to nearly 600 employees and be the center of Oxy’s Permian Basin operations.

  • Texans Answer the Call


    Gov. Rick Perry visited the Camp Swift Army National Guard Training facility, thanking the soldiers and airmen for their commitment and dedication to protecting our state and our nation.

  • SpaceX in Texas is a Go


    Gov. Rick Perry announced a TEF offer to bring SpaceX’s commercial rocket launch facility to Cameron County, Texas. The facility will generate 300 jobs and $85 million in capital investment.

  • Operation Strong Safety


    Gov. Perry is sending up to 1,000 Texas National Guard troops to the border to combat criminal activity resulting from the federal government’s failure to adequately secure the border.
