Our leadership

The Governor's Commission for Women was re-authorized August 15, 2001, through an executive order from Texas Governor Rick Perry. The Commission meets quarterly and is led by a panel of appointed Commissioners serving two-year terms.

The day-to-day operation of the Commission is run by our Executive Director, who receives administrative support from the staff of the Governor's Office.

Additionally, the State Agency Council supports the goals of the Commission.
