Gov. Perry Appoints Jones to Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation Board
AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Robert "Bob" Jones of Corpus Christi to the Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation board of directors for a term to expire Feb. 1, 2009. The board oversees the provision of affordable housing for low income Texans.
Jones is pastor of the Messianic Fellowship Church. He is also a host on the 1440 KEYS radio morning show. He is a member of the Texas Coastal Coordination Council, past member of the U.S.O of South Texas board of directors and past vice chairman of the Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority. Jones served in the U.S. Army and is a member of the American Legion Post 3837. He received a bachelor’s degree from Temple University. He replaces Charles Rencher of Sugar Land.
