Gov. Perry Appoints Vacek As Judge of 400th Judicial District Court
AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry today announced the appointment of Clifford Vacek of Simonton as Judge of the 400th Judicial District Court of Fort Bend County. Vacek was appointed to a term that will run until the next general election, when he can opt to run for a full term.
Vacek is a partner and general practice attorney with Vacek and Hoffman, L.L.P., as well as owner and operator of Double C Ranch. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association and the Texas Bar Foundation. Vacek is also a member of the Fort Bend Bar Association and the Fort Bend County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. He serves as president of the Concord Cemetery Association, director of the Rosenberg Railroad Museum and is a member of the Rosenberg-Richmond Chamber of Commerce. He is a life member of the Fort Bend County Fair Association and member of the American Legion.
A graduate of the University of Houston, he received his law degree from the University of Houston School of Law.
