Governor Names Stephens as District Attorney for Nacogdoches County
AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry today announced the appointment of Stephanie Stephens of Nacogdoches as district attorney for the 145th Judicial District for a term until the next general election and a successor is elected and qualified. The district serves Nacogdoches County.
Stephens is the assistant district attorney for Nacogdoches County. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Nacogdoches Bar Association. She serves on the board of the Humane Society, the Friends of Visual Arts and is a provost member of the Junior Forum. Stephens is a member of the Fredonia Rotary Club and the Heritage Heralds. She received a bachelor’s degree from Southwestern University and a law degree from University of Houston Law Center.
This appointment is subject to senate approval.
