Enjoy Texas Music Grant Application

If you are a teacher or school administrator and would like to apply for the Enjoy Texas Music grant, please complete the following forms, attach supporting paperwork, and mail to the Texas Music Office, P.O. Box 13246, Austin, TX 78711, ATTN: Grant Application.

You will receive an email confirmation once the Texas Music Office processes your application. Grants are awarded based on availability of funds. Requests are limited to $1,500. Once a grant is awarded to a school, that school cannot reapply for another grant for two years.

In order to apply for a grant from the TMO your school must partner with a 501(c)3 non-profit organization willing to advance the amount of the grant. The non-profit will be reimbursed by the TMO. Past recipients have partnered with Band Boosters, Education or Arts Foundations, or Volunteer Service Organizations such as the Lions or Rotary Clubs.

Each grant application will require:
1. A W-9 form from the non-profit organization.
2. An application for a payee identification number from the non-profit (if they have received state funds, this number may already be on file).
3. Supporting paperwork on company letterhead for each of the three instrument or lesson bids below.

Please note that three bids are required for each instrument. Bids must only be from a Texas retailer or teacher. For a list of Texas musical instrument stores, go to:

ADDITIONAL LESSON ONLY INFORMATION
Lessons obtained through this program must be monitored by the participating school.
You must account for the student having taken these lessons to the Texas Music Office upon completion.
The student must complete the program of six lessons within a ten-week period.
If the student does not complete the program, funds for the remaining lessons must be returned to the TMO.
