The Department of Music at the
University of Texas-Pan American offers extensive programs leading towards a Bachelor
of Arts in Music, through which a teaching certificate may be obtained; and a
Masters of Music with options in Music Performance, Music Education and Ethnomusicology.
Performance opportunities include the University Concert Band, University Choir,
Valley Symphony Orchestra, University Chamber Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, Mariachi
Ensemble, and Guitar Ensemble. Performance facilities include the Fine Arts Auditorium
(1,050 seats) and the Recital Hall (200 seats).
