Rough is a quasi-monthly magazine produced pro bono in its entirety by, for, and about the members, associates, and friends of the Dallas Society of Visual Communication. So what does that really mean? It means that, every month, a different sustaining shop or agency donates their time and talent to design an issue of Rough. Next, a team of members, including writers, photographers, and illustrators, chip in to deliver stories, tales, and exposés pertaining to, or in the interest of, the DSVC community at-large. Then, local print shops and paper vendors contribute much-appreciated supplies, materials, and services that bring Rough to life.

Kerry F. Douglas founded World Wide Gospel Music after over 10 years of promoting Rap and R & B Concerts in Houston, Kerry found himself in and out of situations which were not all positive (to put it kindly). A near death confrontation caused him to invite Jesus Christ into his life. Kerry decided to make a 180 degree turn by dedicating his expertise in promoting records and concerts to promoting Jesus through a music ministry. He went broke and with his very last, produced and released a project titled "I Believe" recorded by his cousins Rev. E. Stewart & the Stewart Singers. In March 1998, IGMN released its first publication, a magazine titled, "The Gospel Truth". The Gospel Truth focuses on the Gospel Music Industry from an Independent's perspective. It features articles, charts and information about the accomplishments of independents that are sometimes overlooked because of the attention given to the Majors by recognizing that there's room for everyone. The publication is an industry magazine sent as a free service to over 3,000 radio and retailers in the U. S. The good part, each magazine comes with a free CD featuring over 15 full-length tracks. So just in case the articles and information does not convince readers, the music will.

Scream! is a quarterly newsletter showcasing high-note trumpeters and their music. Albums are released constantly that feature high-note trumpeters--you won't hear about them anywhere else but Scream! The focus of Scream! is for the trumpet listerner as opposed to the player; this means reviews and album release announcements take priority over transcriptions and "how-to" stories. Well-known artists like Maynard Ferguson, Cat Anderson, Doc Severinsen and Chase are frequent headliners, as are less-renowned lead players and soloists like Jim Manley, Mike Vax and Dennis Noday. Classified ads allow readers to meet and trade with each other. Space ads accepted for products/services of value to this readership. Subscriptions are $15 per year payable to Jeff Schaefer; 30-word classified ads are $4 per issue. Send $2 for sample issue--will apply towards subscription--to the above address.

Through concerts, community events, showcases and our annual events: The MIX It Up Music Festival™ & The UUMA Music Conference™, we boost and back the indie music community in S.A. Untouchable Underground Records deals with strictly positive music. We put on shows where we go to schools and talk to kids about gangs and violence in the community.
