In print since 1919 and online since 1997, The Shorthorn, the student
newspaper at the University of Texas at Arlington, has won the country's most
prestigious college journalism awards. The Shorthorn's goal is to publish the
best possible newspaper daily for the UTA community, believing that an informed
community makes good decisions. We're proud of awards we've earned in the past.
It is published Tuesday through Friday during the Spring and Fall semesters, and

The Daily Texan, probably the best known
student medium in the century, is the student newspaper of the University of Texas
at Austin and celebrated its 100th birthday in 1999-2000. The Texan has won more
national, regional and state awards than any college newspaper nationwide. It's
the largest in terms of pages printed, circulation and budget. Music features
are usually published Tuesdays and Thursdays. In addition The Daily Texan publishes
DT Weekend, an exclusive music insert every week. Coverage includes club listings,
record reviews and music features.
