The Daily Texan, probably the best known student medium in the century, is the student newspaper of the University of Texas at Austin and celebrated its 100th birthday in 1999-2000. The Texan has won more national, regional and state awards than any college newspaper nationwide. It's the largest in terms of pages printed, circulation and budget. Music features are usually published Tuesdays and Thursdays. In addition The Daily Texan publishes DT Weekend, an exclusive music insert every week.
