a community and creating a new way of life. We are currently accepting membership
applications and space is limited. The Austin Music Co-op was formed by SIS Promotions
to help unify musicians in Austin, TX. The Co-op is not just a place to live,
but also a forum for community and ideas. This city is a music mecca. Together,
musicians can get informed and organized. We can help the city and the citizens
make Austin more conducive to a healthy, exciting, and lucrative career in music.
The Co-op is located at 5413 Guadalupe Street in a one-level, three-wing building
near the Hyde Park neighborhood. There are 23 bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, and lots
of common space. The common areas include a full kitchen, dining/lounge area,
laundry room, sun patio, garden, fenced in yard, and office facilities with a
copy center. There's high-speed Internet and wi-fi, easy access to campus and
downtown bus lines, and much more. The setting encourages creativity and supports
musicians' efforts to write, record and rehearse.

Named in memory of Sims
Ellison, SIMS is a non-profit organization founded and based in Austin, Texas,
which provides access to low-cost mental health and addiction recovery services
for Austin musicians and their immediate families. SIMS pays a portion of the
counseling fees and providers generously reduce their rates, thereby keeping the
client's costs down. While musicians add enormously to Austin's quality of life,
they often do not have predictable incomes and lack access to support systems
such as mental health care. The purpose of SIMS is to remove these barriers for
musicians in our community. Austin musicians and their immediate families may
call the SIMS confidential client service line at (512) 494-1007.

Swan Songs is an Austin, Texas based project designed to organize private
concerts for individuals and families living with life threatening illness. Patients
have the opportunity to request a favorite style of music or local area musician.
By bringing live music directly to the home, hospital or hospice facility, Swan
Songs helps to create a healing and comforting environment through the fulfillment
of musical wishes at the end of life. The concerts are typically 20 - 40 minutes
in length and are all acoustic with no amplification. A Swan Songs concert can
create an opportunity for a gathering of family and friends, or it can be a private
moment between the patient and the musician. The selection of the music is very
personal - whatever is meaningful and significant for that individual is what
we strive to provide.

The
Texas Gospel Announcers Guild is a small stable ten year old organization that
functions on a small budget and a large amount of donated services. We are dedicated
to the production of gospel workshops and seminars within Austin. We also coordinate
attendance and registration for a handful of gospel performers to attend workshops
around the state and around the U.S. where we have recently reached a new level
of success. TGAG is now moving toward producing larger, quality productions that
serve the African-American community and gospel performers while at the same time
expanding and broadening to reach a more diverse audience and to bring greater
visibility to gospel. In 1996 we were proud to produce Texas Gospel Train at the
UT Performing Arts Center, kicking off Black History Month with a tribute to Elmer
Akins' 50-year career as announcer of the longest running gospel radio program
in the world. The Texas Gospel Announcer's Guild was instrumental in helping to
promote the first ever gospel concert at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin featuring
Kirk Franklin and Family God's Property, Trinity 3-5-7, and the 100 voice Gospel
Music Workshop of America Youth Choir. We will also be working on a gospel play
by the late Thomas A. Dorsey entitled Precious Lord. And we will be helping to
promote a live gospel outdoor concert on the Capitol grounds.

ongoing program of work to support tourism initiatives across the state; by linking
with affiliated groups to assist in their tourism activities; and by charting
a course for the future of the tourism industry to ensure its preeminence as a
powerful, positive force. We help ensure the most effective tourism program possible,
by complementing and maximizing the results of promotional efforts of private
businesses, city and regional organizations and the State of Texas. TTIA Membership
is open to any individual or organization with an interest in developing tourism
in Texas. Included in this group are: accommodations, airlines, attractions, campgrounds,
convention and visitor bureaus, chambers of commerce, publications, public relations
and advertising firms, regional groups, restaurants, suppliers to the tourism
