Natural Ear Music School has evolved from a single music instructor's summer camp into a year 'round school of rock and roll located just off South Congress Avenue in Austin, Texas. The 6,000 square foot facility has 14 rehearsal rooms and a music store. The school is staffed by professional, lifelong musicians who coach the bands, leading them from the decisions of who will play each instrument to a concert at a local music venue. This was the first 'school of rock', one which draws on the strengths of Texas' youth and the city's famed music scene. Natural Ear's kid bands have won awards such as Best Preteen Band, taken first place in the city wide Battle of the Bands; being selected to play festivals like Keep Austin Weird and the Chronicle's Hot Sauce Contest at Auditorium Shores. Natural Ear Music School offers band rehearsals, camps and private lessons.

The New Conservatory of Dallas offers a music program for pre-college string students studying violin, viola, cello, and double bass. We are a nonprofit organization supporting classical music and young artists. The New Conservatory of Dallas offers the following performing groups: Conservatory Chamber Orchestra, the most advanced pre-college string players, Conservatory Allegro Orchestra, a training orchestra for intermediate string students: Conservatory training orchestra for elementary string students. The curriculum of the New Conservatory of Dallas includes music theory, sectional coaching, orchestra rehearsals, orchestra performance experience, recitals participation, and master classes. Students meet approximately 30 Saturdays during the school year. Members of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and other accomplished musicians are involved in directing and coaching of rehearsals and performances. The New Conservatory of Dallas celebrated its 21th Annual Symphony of Toys Concert in December of 2006 at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. In February, 2007, New Conservatory of Dallas celebrates 30 years as a Conservatory organization. The Dallas Morning News stated that "New Conservatory of Dallas is recognized as Good will Ambassadors for the City of Dallas to cities in both the United States and other parts of the World." The New Conservatory of Dallas also presents an annual music festival, now in the 11th year, Conservatory Music in the Mountains.
