Rock Band is an all-new platform for music fans and gamers to interact with music. The game challenges players to put together a band and tour for fame and fortune, mastering lead/bass guitar, drums and vocals. With more master recordings than any other music game, Rock Band features some of the world's biggest rock artists and spans every genre of rock ranging from alternative and classic rock to heavy metal and punk.

Pi Studios, located in Houston, Texas, was tapped by MTV Games to create the PlayStation 2 version of the popular game. Since its inception five years ago, the independent game company has been a part of some of the world's best selling games, including Call of Duty 2 & 3 and Halo 2. They are currently working on Quake Arena Arcade for the XBOX360 Live! with Dallas-based developer id Software, and the Wii version of Rock Band, which is due out in stores on June 22, 2008.
