Orcs & Elves is a mobile game that plants the user in a fantasy world of sword and sorcery. With the help of a magical talking wand, players explore an ancient Dwarven fortress riddled with legendary beasts and untold treasures. The mobile game, developed by Dallas-based Fountainhead Entertainment and produced by Dallas-based id Software, incorporates a hybrid game play of first-person action and tactical turn-based role-playing.

When Orcs & Elves was released, it was met by a much critical acclaim, including "Best Story" recognition from the IGN Mobile Awards and the "2007 Mobile Game of the Year" from the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences. Fountainhead Entertainment and id Software have previously released DOOM RPG for the mobile phone. Orcs & Elves for the Nintendo DS will be releases in time for the 2007 holiday season.
