"Age of Empires III," a recent release from Dallas-based developer Ensemble Studios, is a real-time strategy game for the computer. Amidst beautiful 3-D graphics and picturesque sceneries, players relive the European colonization of the Americas. Starting with a discovery phase, players explore and map out new territories and continue until they've created new civilizations with working governments and industrial capabilities.

The Microsoft-owned Ensemble Studios has previously released "Age of Empires," "Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings," and "Age of Mythology," as well as expansion packs for each game, including the recent expansion for "Age of Empires III" entitled "The War Chiefs." Since it's released in October 2005, "Age of Empires III" has become the best-selling game in the Age of Empires series, reaching number 8 on the Entertainment Software Association's top selling computer games of 2005.
