Texas state law specifies that improper use of a parking space reserved for individuals with disabilities or blocking an access aisle or curb ramp designed for people with disabilities is a class C misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of $250- $1,000.
If you are a person with a permanent or temporary disability, please contact your county tax office to obtain a parking placard or a license plate with the international access symbol.
ONLY individuals with such license plates or parking placards are entitled to park in accessible parking spaces reserved for persons with disabilities.
