Local Disability Committees

The Texas Governor's Committee on People with Disabilities builds community partnerships through local volunteer committees on people with disabilities.

Some examples of local committee activities include awarding scholarships, publishing a college resource directory, holding career fairs, monitoring accessible parking, building an accessible fishing pier and hosting a national business summit.
