Funding Schedule

The Texas Administrative Code (T.A.C) requires state agencies, including the Governor's Criminal Justice Division (CJD), to post each "Request for Application" to the public in the Texas Secretary of State's Texas Register. These notices serve to inform potential applicants of available funding opportunities. The table below lists each fund source and deadline for submitting application kits to CJD.

Each applicant is required to submit a complete "grant application to CJD via the online eGrants system located at https://cjdonline.governor.state.tx.us. Also, you will find specific instructions and guidelines on submitting an application on this web page.

Grant applicants are responsible for contacting the appropriate Council of Government (COG) regarding their applications. Each of Texas' 24 COGs holds its own grant development workshops and facilitates application prioritization within its region. The Texas Association of Regional Councils assists COG's in representing local governments.
