The Governor's Criminal Justice Division (CJD) contracts with the Regional Councils of Governments (COGs) to facilitate CJD's grant application process at the regional level through planning and prioritization for criminal justice and public safety programs. This includes communicating with potential grant applicants on CJD's application process and submission deadlines; assisting and facilitating local community planning groups; prioritizing submitted applications based on a fair and competitive process; notifying grant recipients of awards; and providing grantees with year-round technical assistance.
